About the Center
The mission of the GLBT Cultural Center is to serve as a unifying focal point for Houston’s diverse gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities, and to provide a home for the nurture and celebration of our organizations, institutions and culture.
Operated by Montrose Counseling Center, the GLBT Cultural Center is the hub of community events and organizing, houses seven resident organizations, and is the serves as the gathering place of choice for dozens of civic, service and social organizations. We host an average 150 events per month and see more than 40,000 visitors per year.
The Center is open 7 days a week whenever there is a scheduled event taking place. We are located in the heart of Houston's historic Montrose neighborhood at 401 Branard Street on the first floor above the covered parking area.
